I love Woody Allen films. I love his humor, his way with words, his ideas and creativity, and the vigor with which he keeps writing and directing film after film. But Woody Allen's voice is SO strong, that I find myself actually disliking the films in which he has not cast himself, especially the more recent ones. The delivery is all wrong, the intonation is askew... it's just... not right. "Whatever Works" is exactly that. I liked it because its the voice of Woody, but I hated it because its.... off. (And believe me, I also would have cast Larry David.) It's like watching a dubbed movie. When the voices don't match up, its unsettling.

Had many laughs. Woody certainly has his way with words. Exhibits brilliance in his seemingly simple dialogues. Take a bow, genius! :)Christian Andersson

It's an enjoyable movie. But i think i prefer Larry David acting like himself, and Woody Allen the same way.Earring72
