Will there be an option to keep the "old" design? If only just as a sort of stylesheet? I just don't really like modern design like Letterboxd has.
I like the new functionality, though, or at least, I like how it looks to be functional.

I think this is an excellent study in how not to make films. There is practically not a single thing not overdone and done wrong. I have as much hate in my heart for this film as I have love in my heart for United 93.

Comizi d'amore (http://www.icheckmovies.com/movies/comizi+damore/) is missing from this list. It is included on the Accattone release. - Personally, I don't think it should be added, but since Bon Voyage, etc. have been added while they're only extras on the Lifeboat release, Comizi should be added as well. Or even better: remove Bon Voyage and the other non-official releases.

There is also: http://www.icheckmovies.com/movies/sopralluoghi+in+palestina+per+il+vangelo+secondo+matteo/ which was released with The Gospel According to Matthew.

1 % sci-fi, 99 % action. Don't watch it if you're going for sci-fi - you will be very disappointed.

Finally there was a chance for someone, a team of filmmakers, to make a movie about women's sports where there is actually a point to it. Normally there is no point to "gender segregation" in sports, but obviously during WWII when men were away, there was a genuine point in portraying female baseball players in a positive way.
And then they make it into a comedy with Madonna in one of the major roles. Fucking hell..

Really awesome additions! The Belgian award one isn't listed under awards yet though.

Edit: On second thought, it is kinda weird to add the 366 Weird Movies list when it's a work-in-progress.

Pleased to see none of those 70's rascal class "comedies" on the list. For me, that pretty much guarantees this is a good and serious list.

It should be noted in the description that the Bodil award is given by National Association of Film Critics in Denmark - as opposed to the Robert award which is given by Danish Film Academy.

A deceptively easy list. Many of these movies are so crazy obscure they don't even have 5 votes on imdb. To watch some of these movies, I think, you have to visit the hut of a goat farmer in Senegal who owns the only existing copy on VHS.

False. All of these movies are available at KG/PTP except for the latest entry.

Having played football for most of my life, the football scenes really put me off. It was quite clear that the female player did not have any notable technique. I know, I know! It's just a movie. But these scenes were given a certain significance throughout the film, so they could at least have made them somewhat believable.

the build-up did not really fit the crescendo.

A crescendo IS a build-up. I think you mean climax.

I would consider Bowling for Columbine a mockumentary as well. At least it does make a mockery of any decency that thruthful documentaries have had in the past. It's a damn shame, too, because I agree with him in principle, but his methods are just as despicable as his opponents' methods (if not more).

There's a ten minute version aswell.

Yeah, but it's just the same thing that happens as in the other video only played in a loop of 9 or 10 times.

You couldn't write dialogue like that. And why would you, it's really fucking boring.

It said so in the script. It's a movie.

Why include 23 films in a top ten collection? You've included movies that were mentioned as runners-up but not actually part of the top ten. Here is the official source of the 1952 Sight and Sound top ten: http://old.bfi.org.uk/sightandsound/polls/topten/history/1952.html

But, did anyone else have some trouble understanding Bane when he spoke? It couldn't be just me, right?

I am pretty sure the sound mixer/designer would win a Razzie award for worst sound mixing, but I don't think they have technical awards. The sound throughout the entire movie was way too loud, it was a war on my ear drums, but Bane's voice in particular stood out as something out of hell. It was (of course) dubbed as it had to be with that mouth piece, but it was so out of wack with the rest of the sound levels in his scenes, it was terrible. Maybe it was meant as something like he has a commanding/demanding presence in his voice, but it was just laughable.
Of course his gypsy accent didn't help either (I'm not making a racist joke, that is actually how he has described it - the inspiration - himself. Fortunately, I had Danish subtitles to rely on for those scenes, but it was a dumb character feat.

I don't understand the lack of votes here and at IMDb. This is one of the best "hidden" gems ever.
