Can't believe this has not gotten more exposure. Fabulous and incredibly strong film about a jewish business man in France breaking down, realizing his wife is only with him for his money and that his daughter may not be his. Doesn't seem to hold anything back. Had it not been for the distinct early 30s style it could have been made today. Duvivier was a master. At just 75 minutes this is definitely a film you should check out. Heart wrenching. 9/10. 11 years 8 months ago -
