Favs/dislikes: 3:3. The Bechdel Test, or Bechdel-Wallace Test, sometimes called the Mo Movie Measure or Bechdel Rule is a simple test which names the following three criteria: (1) it has to have at least two women in it, (2) who talk to each other, (3) about something besides a man. Currently, there are 8787 movies in the bechdeltest.com database, 894 of them score 0 out of 3 on the test. These are listed here (sorted from newest to oldest). Last update: March 3rd 2021.

7. Amazon List to Watch's icon

Amazon List to Watch

Favs/dislikes: 9:0. This is a list of titles that are available on Amazon Prime and mostly of stuff that I haven't seen yet whether they're on an official list or not. When I come across titles that I've seen, I'll add 'em as I see 'em. I'm using this as a source: https://www.cinesift.com/#/ Titles 443-533 are from this list. See the "comments" section for more info. You can help out in building this list with me by posting the "tt#######" of the imdb url in the comments section, I'll gladly add all of them to the list. You can also help with updating the list: notice a title is no longer streaming? Post in the comments section of this list, not on the title page, so others know too--back on? Post again... (This is for informational purposes only, titles will not be removed once on this list.) If you know how to do a list that automatically puts in all titles, then please do so, and let me know. Please don't click "dislike" because there's nothing to not like--there might be some titles on here that you might benefit from too.
8. Beyond the Canon's Films Deserving Greater Attention's icon

Beyond the Canon's Films Deserving Greater Attention

Favs/dislikes: 35:0. "Beyond the Canon is essentially a greatest films poll, only without the greatest films. I challenged a number of dedicated film-lovers – critics, bloggers, filmmakers, IMDbers; professional, amateur, and in-between – to select up to 100 films that they believed to have been under-represented by film history, that meant more to them than the established, well-exposed classics." - Iain Stott, The One-Line Review
9. More Noir(ish) Films from TSPDT's icon

More Noir(ish) Films from TSPDT

Favs/dislikes: 7:0. "The 842 noir(ish) films listed below contain varying amounts of film noir elements. Most have solid noir traits, but, it must be said, there are some that have very questionably been cited as noirs. However, I'm not playing the noir juror here. I haven't strayed from the numbers and therefore have made no exclusions. As per the 1,000 Noir Films, the noir(ish) films listed below are based on the number of noir-related citations* they have received (based on TSPDT's research). All films in the 1,000 Noir Films received a minimum of eleven noir-related citations. The films below received between five and ten noir-related citations. *Citations were culled from a multitude of sources (from books and the internet), including many (if not all) of the most well-known film noir-related publications. These include John Grant's A Comprehensive Encyclopedia of Film Noir, Film Noir: The Encyclopedia by Alain Silver, Elizabeth Ward, James Ursini & Robert Portforio, The Worldwide Film Noir Tradition by Spencer Selby, More Than Night: Film Noir in its Contexts by James Naremore, and many, many more." 19. Noirish: The Annex To John Grant's A Comprehensive Encyclopedia To Film Noir's icon

Noirish: The Annex To John Grant's A Comprehensive Encyclopedia To Film Noir

Favs/dislikes: 8:0. "The purpose of Noirish is to act as an extension to the Encyclopedia -- an annex, if you like -- where I can add entries for movies that for one reason or another didn't make it into the printed book. In some instances, this is just because the movie concerned was released too late for inclusion. Most often, though, the reason was logistic. Although the Encyclopedia takes the broadest possible view of film noir, there were some movies that were either too obscure or too tangential to the theme to merit the use of precious page space: 800+ large-format pages -- nearly 700,000 words -- may seem a lot but, when you're trying to cover in excess of 3,000 movies, you soon learn to appreciate the constraints. That's why this enterprise has the title it has: Noirish. Many of the movies here are very borderline noir, and some aren't noir at all but have associational interest. Just because a movie's obscure doesn't mean it's lousy . . . although there'll be some lousy movies covered here. There'll also be plenty of movies that are, shall we say, undistinguished -- which is not to say they're without at least some points of interest, and certainly isn't to say they're not lots of fun to watch." -From John Grant on the site's "Modus Operandi" section *#641-687: Of Associated Interest - John Grant does not consider these films noir but has mentioned them due to similar themes, actors or influences. **The following are missing from IMDB: -The Twelve Shorts of Christmas #5: The Bloody Fish (2011) -Tango Silent Films: A Christmas Present for Hannah (2009), The Private Lesson (2010), Oh My, What a Night! (2011), Pornography (2012), One, Two, Three! (2012), Sadie’s Song (2011) -La Moglie (2007) -Peekaboo (2014)

21. Badmovies.org - Every Review's icon

Badmovies.org - Every Review

Favs/dislikes: 2:0. A website to the detriment of good film The goal of any movie is to entertain. This might sound strange, but who cares if a movie is poorly acted and filled with ridiculous special effects? What matters is if the movie keeps you entertained. The site's whole reason for being is to celebrate the quirky films that I find so enjoyable. Well, most of them are enjoyable. Some of the movies I watch cause me quite a bit of pain, but I love them anyway. Since we always hurt the ones we love, I will assume that the movies are loving me right back. Not on IMDB: The Curse of Count Chocula (2001) MALEORVS (1990) Rock'n With Satan (2002) Tales Til the End (1996) Terror on the Wind (1999)

iCM Forum's Favorite Contemporary Black & White Movies Complete List

Favs/dislikes: 6:0. lthough almost since the birth of film there have been various color(ized ) movies for the first few decades black and white was the dominant use. After the 1930s the use of color started to rise until it became the standard in the mid 60s.
