Cinemaya's Greatest Asian Films
Favs/dislikes: 28:0. In 1998, Cinemaya asked 34 critics (mostly Asian critics) to list their 10 favorite Asian films. Cinemaya published all of these lists in issue #41 of the magazine. #1 Tokyo Story appeared on 20 of the lists. This is a list of films that appeared on at least 2 lists. See this spreadsheet for vote counts. 6 of the critics listed "The Apu Trilogy" without specifying an individual film, so I counted each trilogy vote as a vote for all 3 films. You can see some of the top 10 lists in this Google book preview. -

Korean Noir
Favs/dislikes: 1:0. Korean Noir, Illuminating the Dark Side of Society presents key films whose ‘noirness’ has generated critical debate. The programme hopes to offer an overview of how Korean film noir from different periods has adopted and/or paid homage to the canon of film noir whilst at the same time reflecting the particular conventions of Korean culture and its cinema. -
