@MrCarmady: My point was that if you look at specifically how the Female Under-18 demographic votes on those movies, it is wildly out of sync with everyone else. It's been a topic of discussion before on IMDb.
I do agree that teenage males rule the Top 250 list. It's why every comic book movie shoots to the top right after release.
I totally understand where Kasparius is coming from. It is extremely frustrating to see these bad foreign films make their way up the charts.
But I have to agree with roobin_22. If we start voting down these films without having seen them, then we are no better than the teenage girls who vote down classic movies that get to the top of the IMDb Top 250. (see: The Seven Samurai, Apocalypse Now, Sunset Blvd, Dr. Strangelove, etc.)
Can't all of us just stage a coup and weed out all these Turkish, Indian and Russian turds that are polluting every list. Let's all go and vote 1 on IMDB. I figure if at least 500 of us do this it might do some serious damage. I mean after all it's only fair, these ratings certainly don't reflect the quality of those movies. I think it would balance things out.
P.S. I love "good" Russian, Indian and Turkish films.
