Gainsborough Melodramas
Favs/dislikes: 2:0. The Gainsborough melodramas were a sequence of films produced by the British film studio Gainsborough Pictures during the 1940s which conformed to a melodramatic style. There is some dispute about which Gainsborough productions are among the melodrama canon. Also, other British melodramas of the era (such as The Seventh Veil) are sometimes associated with the Gainsborough melodramas.
