Now this is a brilliant initiative! There are so many classic movies i have yet to see, but when I run out one day, it's good to know that there are hundreds of films waiting to be watched. Thanks guys!
I might have a suggestion: Bert Haanstra's 1963 documentary Alleman (50+ checks). Glad to see his movies Glas and Fanfare have made it to this list, but this one is arguably his best and in the Netherlands his best-loved.

@mysteryfan:If a movie reaches 400 checks, it will be removed on the next update in September, not earlier.

Okay so, If i vote for this movie and later it crosses 400 checks, it will be out of this list? That's like investing in a stock whose price will go down as more people buy it
What if a movie has 399 checks, then no one will check it lol

@Public Enemy: Mini-series are eligible for this list, but longer TV series aren't.Public Enemy
You should add TV series to the list description, since it's not just films. Serial Experiments Lain is one I just ran across.1SO
Already 39 films are ineligible for next year's list. That's a win!monclivie
Why 400?Timvv

@Crisco B: Yes, the list will be updated once a year, every September.criscoJovan
How often will this list be updated? Once a year, every September?Clemmetarey
Maybe someone should make a list, of the films that dropped off the list.Kasparius
The point of the list is to shine a light on lesser known films. If they reach 400 and beyond we reached our goal.mightysparks
We update the list every September. A lot of films will leave, yes, but in their place will be a bunch of new films to discover :)Alfredo Garcia
There's no doubt that it's a fantastic list. Many interesting films to check out! My personal missing was The Razor's Edge (1984) http://www.icheckmovies.com/movies/the+razors+edge-1984/Rohit
Most of the movies I wished for are here. Yay!Although I still desire more recognition for Garm Hava (1974)
