It's fair to disagree with the ordering. The fact that a lot of people like a movie doesn't make it objectively good.
Though, this list is just a statistics tool, so disagreeing isn't going to change much. You might as well say, "It sucks that California is the most populous state, Michigan is way better!"
the idea of 'its all fanboys' is ridiculous, these ratings are based on thousands of people's opinions. The fact is that thousands of people gave it a good rating, so its high up. Sadly, they're not fanboys when its everyone. So stop moaning.
Well, a lot of young people, fanboys and trolls go on IMDb and give unfair ratings. That is why Inception is #8. It should be around #170. I mean, come on, with movies like The Godfather, Pulp Fiction, Schindler's List, Goodfellas, OFOTCN & Citizen Kane in its midst how is it deserving? I liked Inception BTW. But #8? NO WAY!

Nolan's movies appeal to internet moviegoers far more than all moviegoers in general.I don't think Inception or Dark Knight is any stranger than Star Wars, or Fight Club, or LotR.
