Obviously most movie rankings are Hollywood-centric, especially for the Western category, which is based entirely around a specific time and place in America, but Sholay captures that style so incredibly well. I'm from the US, and not a big fan of Bollywood movies, but the scene in Sholay where Gabbar Singh plays Russian Roulette with his captives is perhaps the greatest example of the Western genre I have ever seen.
The mark of Zorro seriously !!!! Thi is a worst movie, the movie is not a western is a adventure genre. Exist another movies more important for Western.
I definitely wouldn't say spaghetti westerns are childish or boring. They were very instrumental in breaking up the simplicity of western "good guy" vs "bad guy" archetypes.
That isn't to say that traditional westerns aren't still great. I think Open Range should be on this list for executing a traditional western as well as it did.
