What a beautiful and deep portrait of Van Gogh. William Dafoe is really wonderful in this one.The photography is pure art.

The over the shoulder shots and changes of angle looking at his canvas really show what makes Van Goghs painting style so unique and vivid. Great work.Awesome acting by Defoe and Isaac.

Language is always my biggest problem in films like these. Why would you start a conversation in French and switch to English almost in mid-sentence?Either stick to English or find actors who speak French. That's what makes Inglorious Basterds such a great film.
