Ben Whishaw's second half absence was unfortunate. Matthew Goode is not interesting enough to carry any amount of film by himself.

Emma Thompson was extraordinary besides that the movie does not leave a significant trace.....

The best things are Emma Thompson's performance and the setting. There is just too much story for one movie.
