Big actionadventure flick with mediocre effects, acting and plot.
The movie steals way to much from the Indiana Jones movies..
The adventure, humour, actionsequences, way of storytelling and the sountrack is a dead on copy. Somehow they got Jonathan Rhys-Davies(Sallah from Raiders) who appears in a over the top, silly and unnecessary cameo.
They also copied the bridge scene from The Phanthom(1996)..
The only movies who successfully copied the Indiana jones actionadventureformula is the Mummy movies, in my honest opinion.
The specialeffects are good at some points, but mostly crap. Fake helicopters and carchases all over..
I would rather rewatch Romancing the Stone, Jewel of the Nile, Mummy movies or Indiana Jones.
The plot has some good points so i belive that with some scriptdoctoring, a bigger budget and better actors this movie could have been pretty decent, but sadly, that is not the case.. 4/10 5 years 4 months ago
