seems they wanted to simultaneously parody and pay homage to a whole subgenre of film-making - at least that's the nicest thing I can think to say about this one. If one likes slapstick, or should I say over-the-top slapstick, and those caper flicks from the late 60s to early 70s, then this will likely resonate. Can't say I was terribly impressed though.
Luckily for the Coen Brothers and Sam Raimi this is a film no one has seen, and with good reason; it's truly awful. I wouldn't be surprised if they wished it didn't exist at all. The cinematic equivalent of having the stupidest person you know laugh and scream in your face for 90 minutes. Almost entirely without merit - apart from Bruce Campbell who's always fun to watch, even in the most tedious film.

I only watched because it is made by some of my favorite film makers. Yikes. This film should be watched by no one.
