Made behind the Iron Curtain, it's possible First Spaceship on Venus has value in its original form, but the Roger Corman dub/edit features loads and loads of dry exposition; I'm surprised the spaceship could even take off with all of that aboard. 6 years 1 month ago -

The link posted (mod-edit: link removed) IS the original East German version, NOT the U.S. version. The U.S. version is listed as 79 minutes and the East German version is listed as 93 minutes. The version posted runs 90 minutes and is in German with English subtitles. According to the Wikipedia entry:
"The first American edition was only 82 minutes long. All references to Hiroshima were edited out. The American Hawling became a Russian, named Orloff. The Russian Arseniev became the American Heddingway; the Pole Soltyk became the French Durand. The original, uncut version of the film was re-released under the title The Silent Star by the DEFA Film Library at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2004."
The copy linked includes all the Hiroshima references, the characters listed and is titled The Silent Star. As there is a three minute difference, maybe there are a few scenes are missing or the original run time is just incorrect. However, it is definitely NOT the cut U.S. version, which you can watch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Owh3MFn6R_A 8 years 10 months ago
