   I think there's actually only one major problem with this film; There's too much material to cover everything in one go.
   
   There was a lot of exposition, a lot of scenes felt rushed and many things simply weren't covered. I can imagine some bits from the book had to be cut, but it didn't feel right to me that the Fremen culture wasn't explored at all.
   
   Otherwise I don't think the film is all that bad. The acting was all right and some of the special effects looked really good. Most notably the worms, which, frankly, surprised me a little. 11 years 2 months ago

   I loved it :-D Incredible special effects and set designs. The acting is outstanding. Lynch adds his special flair to the movie and I think it is challenging to watch for most viewers because of it. The best thing about this movie is that it is 100 % unique.    I advice everyone to check out Dune - The Alternative Edition Redux, which is a magnificent 178 minutes fan edit - without a doubt the best version of this film. 10 years 8 months ago
