   What Gainax have done here is fantastic. They could have made another version of Evangelion and screw it all up, but instead they just changed some details that makes everything much different; and when you're dealing with such a good series like "Evangelion" that's difficult. In my opinion they did a terrific job. I'll wait patiently for the 3rd part. 11 years 9 months ago

   The main gripe I have with this series (and movies) is that they don't explore most of the interesting themes that could be addressed with the premise. They do very little world-building and (inter)national politics, The question of killing angels and the origin of the Eva's and those consequences. It's such a shame because they created a very interesting world and engaging (albeit a bit cartoonish) Characters. 7 years 7 months ago
