God I loved movies like this when I was growing up; The Rock, Air Force One, True Lies, The Peacemaker, etc. Hollywood was going full scale "USA! USA! USA!" in trying to show off military prowess. It fit right in with my fascination of fighter jets, Tom Clancy novels and Goldeneye.inhonoredglory
A non-stop movie, that's for sure. The characters were pretty flat, defined mostly by their snappy dialogue, and in the end, it felt more or less typical genre. But Mr Cahill (Oliver Platt) and Rat (John Leguizamo) were quite engaging still, and Halle Berry was beautiful. The external plane shots were absolutely breathtaking. A good casual watch.
