Totally agree with jm_london. Great movie, great writing. Took a lot away from this movie.jm_london
Saw it as a young man and liked it. Rewatched it 30 years later and liked it even more and understood better both characters' motivations. Johnny wants to rebuild his life and has no time to waste, Frankie has trust issues. An intelligent rom-com that can also be enjoyed by men LOLBy the way, it includes one of the very first depictions of a happy-ish gay couple on the big screen I remember.
