I enjoyed the movie, as I was in the mood for some light fun movie comedy/romance, just for laughs, etc. It's nothing bad, but definitely not as good as Notting Hill or Two Week notice.
What screwed it up was the ending though. The worst scripting I've ever seen. THE WORST.
Really want to make this clear: I was shouting out while watching this movie end, at how bad the script was for the ending. It's that bad.

I like it way more than I thought I would.

I've watched it two or three times on Netflix.

I thought I would enjoy this film. The incredibly talented cast drew me in. But this movie was just bad. The editing felt unnatural, mostly due to poor coverage. The miserable script did whatever it wanted to, lacking fluidity and entirely ignoring rationality. And the direction felt lazy: while the performances lacked believability and the visual design was bland, but the cinematographer and location scout knew what they were doing. The locations helped this film tremendously.

All of these things left the film far short of its premise. I love to laugh, and wish there was more here. Oh well. Until next time, Adam Scott.

The movie had a lot of promise, but the two main characters are just so hard to sympathize with. I wish they had cast them differently.

I had really high hopes for this one after seeing Bridesmaids but I was sorely disappointed. I thought the premise was unique and I was really rooting for the main characters, but instead I ended up hating them both. The ending left a lot to be desired. Bleh.

When you have the opportunity to cast Kristen Wiig in a film of yours, ALWAYS MAKE HER THE LEAD. It just makes the film 50% better.

Anywho, apart from the disturbing lack of Kristen Wiig (who should do more dramas because she was so golden in this film) and Jon Hamm, the film wasn't very special. It's a good attempt but it kinda failed and turned out not-so-funny.

It was an interesting, if not predictable, romantic comedy. I was sold this movie as being a kind of sequel to Bridesmaids, but it's no where near close.

With that said, I enjoyed it. It was entertaining. I just had different expectations going in.

I couldn't agree more with Mikhaelmt. The movie as a whole had the cast to be a great one, but an incredible lack of screen time for Kristen Wiig really just ruined the entire thing. Jon Hamm has a couple phenomenal scenes, but I'm still not convinced I like him in comedic roles. Ultimately, it was disappointing, but still funny at times, especially given some of the awkward scenarios (however unrealistic they may be) presented.

Unrealistic with one note performance by Jennifer W who should’ve learned better on how to write a better script and directing. The least she could do was cast Kristen Wiig instead as the lead because the poor woman is totally wasted. John Hamm speaks the truth during one scene in the cabin before New Year’s Eve. His part is much better than the whole film.

After watch this, I'm convinced myself that being an adult means being irrational. Good one, though.

Definitely one of the best romantic comedies I've seen in a while. Great cast, great storyline. It really wasn't disgustingly cliche as I thought it would be. I might just watch it again when it comes out in theatres. It's that enjoyable.

Fed up with changes wrought in the lives of their longtime pals who've become parents, two single BFFs share a sprig of their own while swearing to avoid the expectations of a married relationship in multihyphenate Jennifer Westfeldt's Gotham-set romantic comedy "Friends With Kids." Unfolding in a glib, familiar sitcom universe (think "Seinfeld" crossed with "Friends" sans ethnic flavor but with plenty of Judd Apatow-style crass patter about sex and body parts), and boasting a high-profile cast of smallscreen thesps, this formulaic indie might be hyped into modest theatrical business before finding its niche in home-viewing formats.
