Wow, a pretty good movie - and on tough topics like war and the crimes the church committed. One of those movies that show how ridiculous all the fights for different religions are - and how morally dubious some people's motivations are even though they talk about human rights and freedom or devotion to God.
Of course the actors' performances have to be mentioned. Stellan Skarsgard was good as always; Natalie Portman and Javier Bardem were absolutely amazing.
good movie but sometimes looses the track in the chronology such as the laps of time between the french revolution and upcoming of Napoleon as an emperor. it was not very clear.

Ridiculous history turd. Very sketchy plot with many holes. Some scenes, like the rescue of the whores and the following progress of the plot, were simply laughable, i can't believe that outstanding actors like Bardem or Portman were part of this...
