This movie has broken my heart... Even more, because parts of the story are based on the life story of Souha Bechara. Definitely a must-see!

WOW!!!!!!! How bizar. Love & hatred are so close to each other. I don't know which one to feel.

I feel like the ultimate twist was very manipulative but thinking it through, I can see it was there to illustrate the idea that runs throughout the movie about love and hatred and above all about the atrocities of war and how dehumanizing they are. Still, I can't help but feel like there was much shock value to it and it somehow makes the message it delivers take a backseat to the surprise ending.

An incredibly well directed and acted film that is ruined by attempting to portray realistic events of violence, religion and politics in the Middle East while the films foundations are based on an unbelievable amount of coincidences and implausibilities. A shock ending, yes, but one that takes away from the message of the film and makes Incendies highly contrived and flawed. Also, they completely messed up some of the casting in regards to the actors ages.

With all that said, however, I'd still recommend the film for how well crafted it is, plus the ending does have some significant shock value if nothing else.

One of the best films I've seen in a long, long time.spoiler I need to see more films starring Lubna Azabal because she stole my heart with every tiny, almost unnoticeable gesture, she was phenomenal. I'll recommend this to everyone who feels like seeing a movie with substance.

I find myself honestly at a loss to judge this film on its filmic qualities. The heaviness of its story is such that it renders all other qualities of the film muted and grey by comparison. That being said, it must be a testament to the film's storytelling that it had such an impact.

This is by no means an uplifting story. See it with a friend, someone you can get a hug from afterward.

Excellent drama. The movie works as a chronicle, showing us the casualties and consequences of war in middle-east. Can cause heart breaks and tears. Recommended strongly for those who loves movies that shows reality at it's most.

Disturbing and merciless, but also brilliant. The best film of the decade so far. Cried in the end.

Brutal, but beautiful. I didn't realize how wrapped up I'd gotten in this one until I cried like a baby at the last few minutes.
