I agree with The Major. This is a wonderful and tragic portrait. A Page of Madness, which I liked, was rather messy and hard to follow, while this is well structured and really delivers on the emotions.
I was pleasantly surprised with this one. I actually prefer it over Kurutta ippêji (1926) because it is more accessible.
