Yeah, it's nice and it's cute and appealing--not a game-changer, though. It's the only major film written and directed by a woman this year, hence its Oscar nomination in this age of empowerment. I hope Gerwig gets more films and more praise under her belt so she can win for an even better movie.KaramAkerfeldt
Holy shit, I was slowly getting killed and cringed out with every sentence the main character spoke. Such a self-centered and ungrateful character, and the film's directed for the audience to empathize with her bitching about her supposed homelife's poverty. ....this is not poverty. This is one of the whitest things I've ever seen. No wonder why so many seem to eat it up.heat_

Cant believe the dumb world we live in, this "coming of age" crap has been done before with this same actress and she is getting nomination for the same friggin role. Wow looks like Oscars have a reservation category for crap movies and save one nomination for same.Also what makes me so bewildered is we see some pseudo intellectuals who come and praise such movies and feel good about their brains.
