L'école des facteurs (The School for Postmen) is fun by itself and has a completely different opener and closer than Jour de fête, so it doesn't feel redundant.

music at one point reminded me somewhat of the chase music of one of the Indiana Jones films, but I can't remember which one at the moment.

I found Italian subs, and used Google to translate them into English. It was a flawed translation, obviously, but good enough to follow. Most of the dialogue isn't all that inessential, but there's a punchline about the postman consoling the guy with the chopped shoe that now the shoe won't hurt his foot...also, an onlooking peasant woman jokes that the postman's riderless bike knows the way on its own after so long and is headed for the bar.

Very smartly executed stunts, in this good short slapstick comedy from the director of comedy classics like "Mr Hulot's holiday" and "Playtime".
