The easiest way to see them is to rent (or buy, if you're really enthusiastic) the Criterion box set, which includes both versions of Les oursins. If you're in Orange County, California, that shouldn't be too difficult.
Someone else may correct me, but it appears that Jean Painleve has two same-titled shorts about sea urchins? And benhere's link is to the '20s silent rather than the 1958 version? (mod-edit: refers to dead link, that has been removed)

Painlevé does indeed re-work some of his titles, so there is an earlier film called Les oursins in addition to the one listed here. The easiest way to see them is to rent (or buy, if you're really enthusiastic) the Criterion box set, which includes both versions of Les oursins. Or maybe you could see the whole Painlevé panoply on Hulu's Criterion channel?
