I've been catching this again in reruns and it's even better the second time. The love of horses is palpable, so it's very bittersweet to watch it knowing it was cancelled over the accidental deaths of them. That moment when Rosie first wins with Gettin Up Morning is so goddamn good. I thought Michael Mann's involvement would be obnoxious but he managed to make horses racing look like the most beautiful thing in the world. 12 years 1 month ago
