Ray Anselmo
An overview of the life of Mad King Ludwig of Bavaria. Very well-acted and well-filmed, and you can see how it got an Oscar nomination for the costumes. At just shy of four hours, it's a little much - cut an hour and it would rank with Il Gattopardo (The Leopard) as one of Visconti's best. It's still very good, though. 7.5/10 2 years 9 months ago
