A not-so-good Lady Macbeth doesn't mean this shouldn't be on at least a couple of lists. Visually it is as good as Welles' Othello and that's saying a lot. A great film.

This was amazing. It completely trumps "Hamlet" as the best Shakespeare of 1948.
