   There is some stylish directing and inventive use of the camera in this movie which helps in keeping things mildly interesting. Brosnan is also interesting in a strange casting choice as an antropologist with a heavy French accent while Down and Monticelli both perform decently. The weakness of the movie is its plot which feels like it's milking a gimmick with no motivation for any of the characters. There is no payoff until the very end, and even then it just feels stupid. The people involved are obviously skilled at making movies. I just wished they had made a different one. 9 years 2 months ago

   Fantastic idea but ineptly constructed. That being said, it inspired Arnold Schwarzenegger to hire John McTiernan for Predator which then lead to McTiernan's opus, Die Hard. For that reason alone, I am eternally grateful for this films existence. 5 years 8 months ago
