This movie is somehow really touching. It's got a very calm, melancholic feeling to it most of the time. The shots of landscapes in Ireland are very special - only few colours and a lot of grey and green, and still very beautiful. The story is sometimes sweet like a fairy tale and keeps revealing some bitter elements of reality... very captivating.
The actors are great of course. Colin Farrell and Alicja Bachleda are very good; Alison Barry as little Annie is just amiable.
