Man, these early Digital Video films are difficult to watch now. Everything is pixelated and looks horrible.

A cheap movie can be worthwhile if it's interesting. This movie commits the worst sin a low budget movie can make. It's tedious.

This was horrible. The filming felt like it was some kid with a basic camera or something half the time and the acting was terrible. I regret wasting 80 minutes on this movie and am glad it was not something I had bought or rented.

Disappointing, not bad movie, not amazing either. Was ok, but it was just that none of the decisions anyone made in the movie from the two stranded to the boat people made any sense. Yes, it has some suspenseful moments but ultimately the best part is that it was short.

The photography bothered me like hell in the beginning, but gradually I understood its primordial task: it worked as some sort of travel journal, making us very intimate with the couple. Also, I think the length and the ending were both good. 6/10 seems fair to me.
Ps: interestingly, the movie is very similar to the real story: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_and_Eileen_Lonergan

The introductory bit of the characters wandering around on holiday isn't very interesting, but when they get stuck in the water it becomes suitably nervewracking. I was very impressed at the level of realism they achieved, with the illusion of the two divers being stuck in the middle of the ocean with sharks seeming totally convincing. Unfortunately it doesn't have much of an ending; it needed some sort of climactic terror, but it just seems to run out of steam. I don't think the use of low-grade digital photography hurt the film - it gave it an immediacy that film wouldn't have.

Not a very good movie. The actors do a decent job considering the circumstances but you can just tell that the whole time the filmmakers were thinking "Well shit, how the hell are we going to stretch this out to 80 minutes?". In the end they don't even make it that far, and the movie still drags something awful. The last fifteen minutes are great, but unfortunately the film as a whole is about as flawed as that guide's counting system.
