Margaret Lindsey does a fair enough job. Love her voice. The film itself as shown on TCM was rather dark and could use some lightening. It has some very good camera tricks and the scenery is lavish and in style. William Powell is his usual great self but he's no "Thin Man" in this one. Of interest is the music which played in background: a lovely rendition of "Isn't it Romantic" which is my favorite song of all time.
Tony Bandon (Gordon Westcott): "How about a receipt?" (Lunging at Reynolds)
Janet Reynolds (Lindsey): "I came here to be paid, not pawed." 10 years 1 month ago
