Same crap as the first one. As you can tell, I certainly don't like Guy Ritchie's take on Sherlock :Dportuguesetennisfan
funny and amazingLarkspire
Wanted to see a fun, Ritchie-esque adaptation of the stories, which plays to Downey Jr.'s image, and got exactly that! Kind of like the first movie. Funny that.BadFluffy
People who go watch these crappy movies and worse sequels have the movies they deserve. My question is: what did WE do to deserve them?dpanter
devilsavocado calling blisot a "wannabe elitist douchebag" in these here comments was more entertaining than the actual movie. What a tragically bland sequel. Disappointing on so many levels. What the hell was Noomi even doing there? Talk about a meaningless role.Jeremy Brett is likely spinning in his grave, and if you do not know who he is, educate yourself and revel in his performances as the supreme Holmes ever captured on film.

Even worst!!!Rigters
I like it, but it wasn't better than the first one.mook
Shaky start & weaker plot but larger scale with an old-school Bond style villain - and fun! 6/10.Follow me on Twitter @LastFilmSeen

"Americans just can't make a Sherlock Holmes movie"Ah yes, that renowned American, Guy Ritchie...
Think some commenters are being too harsh on this. That said, it isn't as good as the first one, which was more fun and more faithful to the originals (a lot more faithful than many an uppity casual observer is intelligent enough to realise).

pretty terrible direction even compared to the first one. the high quality of the bbc series really makes this seem weak and uninspired.meysam_a

Blisot, you wannabe elitist douchebag--26 out of the 35 movies you've favorited are American movies, and 15 of those 26 are what I would categorize as "general audience blockbusters," i.e. Avatar, The Last Samurai, Memoirs of a Geisha, etc.laugh...out...loud
By the way, I'm an American living in France and the audiences here are no more superior to the audiences in the States. The big cinema houses play movies like Sherlock Holmes with packed theaters. I have to go to an independent chain in order to see anything intellectual or artistic, and there's usually only about a dozen of us in the theater...just like in America, and I imagine not too different from Brazil.

Nothing whatsoever to do with the original books or even character but a fantastically acted, gorgeously shot film and great bromance.thaleya
Great fun, awesome adventure. Those who complain about the plot being too complicated to follow or language being too hard to understand just need to be less stupid. :Pgullevek
Americans just can't make a Sherlock Holmes movie. While the first one was at least a little bit enjoyable, this one was just crap. In the first 30min I really had no idea what was going on, and the rest was not really anything more interesting. Slow-Mo Matrix Oceans 11 whatever bad movie.Showing items 31 – 45 of 51
