This is dark, twisted and extremely hilarious.
The ending is fucking messed up.
I can see my girlfriend and I watching this before every holiday haha. 7 years 10 months ago -

Very good. The direction and writing is brilliant, and it really captures a feeling of downbeat Britishness. It does lose a bit of momentum in the second half though, and I didn't think it was as good as "Kill List". 7 years 9 months ago -

Ben Wheatley's follow up to the menacing and violent "Kill List" is an entirely different beast, but a terrifically original one (unlike his derivative and rather confused horror/thriller) and wonderfully British to boot. A slightly unhinged new couple go on a caravanning holiday together and start to murder various unfortunates who bother them (a boorish litter dropper being the first victim). It's hilarious and silly as well as wickedly gory with a humour that appealed to me immensely. Oram and Lowe, experienced stand-up comedians and TV actors wrote the screenplay for themselves and they are both terrific - Lowe in particular seems to have been particularly neglected up till now on our screens. It all looks gorgeous too, taking in some of the stranger tourist spots of the north of England. I've visited the Pencil Museum in Keswick - I never thought I'd see it immortalised on the big screen. Great fun. 8 years 1 month ago
