I was really looking forward to this. Clint Eastwood? Based on the real events from a few years ago? With the real heroes portraying themselves??

Yeah, it's exactly how it sounds. They're not actors, and it shows. There is some laughably bad acting. The only good performances to be honest are Jenna Fischer maybe, and the bad guy who has like 30 seconds of screen time.

Speaking of time devoted to the actual event, there's barely any! I mean, the event itself was probably very short but it was short on screen too. Like a couple minutes. Out of 90 minutes. This short event was done well but they stretched the first and second acts so long that the whole thing was just a slog to get through.

The vast majority of this movie is unnecessary backstory detailing events that really don't matter at all. The script at times is atrocious. 87-year-old Mr. Eastwood, why did you do this?

I feel terrible for disliking a Clint Eastwood movie, but this was just awful.

Wow, here is something I have never said beforeā€¦..I didn't like this Clint Eastwood movie.

I'm a HUGE fan of his movies but this is a real dudd. There is simply not enough story. Yes, it was a heroic event and that 10 minutes are well shot....but for the rest....it's just filler and the real life heroes are no actors and it shows.

Basically the whole movie is like the first fifteen minutes of every Americans abroad horror movie where nothing happens and the acting is unwatchable.

What a mess. Probably the worst movie directed by Clint Eastwood

This was beyond words, one of the worst films I've ever seen. It had nothing rescuable. It was straight out alt-right christian propaganda, more than opportunism or an idea gone wrong.

Never expected something so horrible from a director that is solid as Eastwood.

I'd read the reviews before watching, and have to admit... I was expecting worse.

The train altercation with the terrorist is fast-paced, quick, and quite realistic in that sense. But the pre-amble consisting of the main characters feels tacked on and utterly worthless.

Worth watching if you're an Eastwood fan, but really nothing special.

I didn't think it was that bad. Is the acting as good as Eastwood's award winners? No. Does it feel a lot more real. Yes, yes it does. It was a very inspiring movie.
