This movie was a treat to watch. Well edited, incredibly stylish, with three fun lead performances. It's especially hard to take your eyes off of Alicia Vikander, who is an incredible combination of gorgeous and funny and talented. It's not the most well written movie and there are times where it's not entirely clear what is happening, but otherwise a very fun and enjoyable film.

Quirky music, slick editing, witty dialogue, great story: Guy Ritchie's back on top form again.

Disappointed that it is a box office failure...was an above average flick in all departments

I'll preface by saying I've never seen more than a few minutes of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. TV show, so if you wanted me to actively compare the new film to it, I can't help you. It shouldn't matter. I thought UNCLE was a terrific entertainment, both exciting and funny, and making good use of its Cold War setting. It's Guy Richie's follow-up to Sherlock Holmes, basically. Same mix of slickness, fun and convoluted storytelling applied to the spy genre. Henry Cavill as Napoleon Solo is basically how I'd want a Silver Age Superman to be played, essentially untouchable even when he's clearly lost. He's as cool and controlled as Armie Hammer's Illya Kuryakin is on the edge of losing; the contrast holds a lot of (yes, realized) potential. And Alicia Vikander's Gaby as the third member of this three-hander is full of surprises as well. Somehow, Hugh Grant's Waverly still gets all the best lines. It's set up as UNCLE's origin story and primed for a sequel, but I hear it didn't do great at the box office, which is a damn shame. Don't know why they didn't market it more around Richie's name...

This one was surprisingly fun. I was mostly dragged to see it with some friends, but I like Guy Ritchie so I had decently high hopes. It dragged a little bit at points, but for the most part the pacing was pretty good. Fun characters and fun story.

Fun spy movie that looks fantastic and delivers the goods. Unfortunately this was a box officeflop so no sequel….pitty.

Great film, better than expected. Still love the original more, this had a borrowed story from Diabolique but decent

I grew up by the area where they were on the dune buggies. Recognised it. Gladiator and Die Another Day were filmed there

I really liked this movie.
The style was a delight; something almost Sin City-y about it. And the humour was right up my street.

I've been a huge fan of the tv show for years so I was somewhat disappointed that Hollywood had turned its money hungry eyes towards another classic show. That being said, this has practically nothing to do with the tv show, in fact it doesn't even qualify as loosely based on the show. Illya Kuryakin was my biggest complaint, instead of being a wise-cracking Russian with a sly smirk and some dry humor he's some version of the Terminator with near-zero character and the tendency to go Incredible Hulk on various pieces of furniture. The opening act is rather intriguing and feels very much like the tv show, it crashes and burns from then on with a sub-par plot and script. Granted, the original tv show was no masterpiece but Guy Ritchie struggled tremendously and downright failed to catch the flavor of U.N.C.L.E. at all. Suddenly it finally becomes clear that it's all a set-up for future movies which at this point probably won't be happening. That will reduce this flick to the ever growing pile of Hollywood attempts to suck more money out of past ideas.

Average... some good action... looks great.... but typical modern obsession with quick-fire 'clever' dialogue.

A few good scenes lost in a badly paced, unoriginal, bog-standard spy flick.
