CSSCHNEIDER
As a filmmaker I'm far more excited about what television can offer than the cinema. Case in point, I thought the film This is England was terrific, but this series and This is England '86 far surpass the film by allowing for more nuanced stories to flourish out of the foundation laid by the original film. Few films or television series come close to how well friendship is portrayed in this collection. It's an absolute testament to how vivid Shane Meadow's original characters were written and cast that this show shines so god damn bright. So yeah, I guess I liked it. 9 years 11 months ago
