I honestly cannot believe that this movie is being praised by the critics and currently holds a 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. To me it is a complete and utter failure, completely missing the tone that a Thor Ragnarock (the Norse Apocalypse) film should have had.
The movie has a lot of potential, the visuals are spectacular and the acting is solid... the real problem are the jokes ruining most scenes of a potentially great flick. To me, Wapiti's Korg character is the Jar Jar Binks of this movie. I'm all for irony and jokes where they fit (Guardians of the Galaxy is absolutely one of my fave MCU movies), but I found them completely out of place 90% of the time in a movie that should have been IMO dark and epic, with a good and fitting opportunity for laughs on the garbage planet Sakaar (some scenes here are absolutely hilarious). For THOR sake, towards the very end of the movie, during an emotionally tense scene like
the explosion of Asgard
there really had to be Korg's silly comic relief completely trashing the tone and atmosphere?
A missed/ruined opportunity... seriously hoping that's not the direction the entire franchise is taking.
Entertaining in a stupid way but ok watch. But you can throw the first 2 thor movies in the garbage because they don't match at all. And please give Loki a rest.....
Some funny moments but the humor does hurt the movie in a way that you never feel involved or feel danger for the characters.
This movie tries a little too hard. The humour is a nice touch but gets a bit predictable/tedious towards the end.
Not much of a plot but always nice to see Chris and Tom!
My wife fell asleep towards the end. When she woke up during the credits, she asked, "What happened with the bowling alley and the puppy?" After asking her some follow-up questions, I realized her sleep-addled brain mistook the Bifrost Bridge for a bowling lane and Hela's wolf for a cuddly puppy.
Entertaining and original, yet still disappointing.
It's a fun action comedy, but I don't think Ragnarok, the epic of the Norse Gods battle that brings about the end of the world should be told in the format of a comedy, even if it's the Marvel comic version. It just doesn't fit the story - to the viewer the events seem trivial and inconsequential, while to the story's characters they should be sinister and devastating, and yet they seem to share the audience's light-heartedness.
The best MCU movie and one of the most entertaining and funny comic book movies ever. Hopefully Marvel will keep adapting this kind of humour in their movies in future as well. 4/5.

Yep, one more crap.totavo
It's funny but marvel is handling Thor the wrong way. It should be more serious and not funny. I don't like it because of this.chunkylefunga
Different but as good as the first one.Much better than 2.

The entire middle act of this painfully obvious movie could be omitted and we'd have the same film. What a waste of digital space.

I didn't like the auto-tune hulk voice. That aside, I had lots of fun watching this movie! This is what I feel a Marvel movie should be like.DaniloFreiles
Mi è sembrato di vedere una puntata di Dragon Ball Z o di Dumbo doveComunque piacevole ed abbastanza ironico (ma non troppo).
