A well-made, well-played film that never really reaches higher ratings. The critics like it a lot and a lot of fans too. Waltz is the best.

I've always been in love with vintage circus aesthetics and stuff, so I enjoyed it. Not bad. And I finally see why all the girls love Robert Pattinson [2] *-*

This movie was surprisingly better than I thought it would be. The one thing that I felt was really lacking was the chemistry between Witherspoon's character and Pattinson's, which could have added a lot more to this film.

I watched this when I was at a bus and I started crying when spoiler

- I was so angry and at the same time sad and ashamed. Fortunately it was nighttime so maybe no one saw me. :D
But, again, Christoph Waltz did a great job. I didn't really like Pattinson - he had this weird smile that bothered me all the time. And Reese was beautiful as always. The story was interesting and the film was beautiful, but I postponed watching it because I know dramas make me sad.

A love-triangle drama set in a 1930's travelling circus. Different and better than the trailers suggested. 7/10.

One of the most disappointing book to movie adaptations I have ever seen. I know they can't be spot on, but they took out major plot points and character traits, the most important of which is leaving out how psychologically disturbing August really is, losing the overall appeal of the story as a whole. Christoph couldn't even save this "trainwreck" of a film. It was almost as bad as that pun.
