Not bad at all though not as good/consistent as Mandy or Color out of Space.
The story, especially anything going on with the puppets (or the horror for that matter) is pointless and forgettable - the movie works as a vehicle for Nic Cage being Nic Cage. I didn't care about the kids, all I did was wait for Cage to come back on scream.
And he does deliver. He's over-the-top cool, doesn't say a word, cleans a lot and then plays pinball while cringe dancing, all in great cinematography - and I was thoroughly entertained. 3 years 2 months ago

I can't speak to the actual quality of the movie (clichés abound, highly predictable, some slightly poor/stereotyped characterization)... but I enjoyed it immensely, and that's enough for me. Solid thumbs up all the way. The cleaning montages are incredibly satisfying, too. 3 years 2 months ago
