As a MASSIVE Doors fan I found this really disappointing. It was edited in a very kitsch, tacky fashion, and really brought no new insights or info about the band or Jim. The only reason to watch it is for all the (admittedly awesome) previously unseen footage of the band - but amazing source materials aren't enough to make an amazing doco. 5/10 (maybe 5.5 .......)
Well, tastes may vary. Personally I found this to be nearly flawless. The scene with the whale is deeply moving, and all the long takes worked for me - I found them to feel very full and, in a strange way, full of energy. I never felt like I was waiting for the next scene, it was like thoughtful intermissions between the 'action'. Well, there's my two cents.
This film changed my life, before I saw this I thought 'alternative cinema' was Fight Club and The Matrix - then I had Herzog and Kinski crawling into my brain with bright, deranged eyes!
A masterpiece.
A sadly misfired follow-up to 2009's rather fine 'Moon'. Occasional moments of forced emotion, random attempts at humour that generally failed, a plot that makes no sense - the holes filled in by that sci-fi plaster called "quantum mechanics", and a lead character who, as far as I can tell, stole another man's brain so that he could lay a girl he'd known for 8 minutes x more than I care to recall..... I hate to be bitter but I was veeeeery disappointed (after all, according to imbd this is a 7.7/10 film). 4/10 in my book.

Painfully bad, not funny and the attempts at drama all fail. Haven't disliked a Bill Nighy film so much before!Movie comment on The King's Speech

This film never seems to get enough love, but in my opinion it is a brilliant, beautiful work of brutal humanism.Movie comment on Source Code
