Admittedly, it's not terrible. Sometimes I even concentrated on the movie and not the other things in the room. Overall, this is another example of how Blair Witch (a groundbreaking film that I enjoyed) did open up the sewage pipes for first-person "amateur" portable camera films. You get a whole lot of crap coming down, but sometimes a diamond ring slips into a drain. Actually, this movie might be that faucet knob screw I lost - necessary, but not irreplaceable. So, my DVD cover review would be, "I'd say screw this movie, but I had to drive to Lowes to get one!"

I was aggravated many times, with all the constant bickering between characters - enough to completely distract from the story. But maybe that distraction was intentional due to the obvious plot twists. There wasn't enough good to make Splice worth watching again.

I can't believe I'd never heard of this movie, until I bought a cheesy 8 movie collection that included it. For being so unknown, the storyline was very disturbing & enthralling, the acting excellent, and I would recommend it to anyone that likes a good psychological thriller.

I LOVE nature footage, and especially those based around our closest cousins - chimps, but this really should have been a Discovery Channel special feature and not a full-length feature film. Thank you Disney for another over-hyped project. Yes, I really appreciate that Oscar was adopted by the unlikely foster, but to make a theater movie out of it? Oscar would feel disgraced, if he understood how you exploited him. Had I taken the time and spent the money to see this in the theater, I would have been really angry. I enjoy this type of story all the time on Discovery, NGC, and others everyday, without the $12 fee. Thankfully, I waited until it hit the home market. Too short and too basic a... I hate to use the word 'plot' for a real-life situation, but Disney thought it first. Stick with animation and stop all other projects, Disney. Walt would be ashamed of the Jonas Brothers, Hannah Montana, and this.

The lead actors were awful and the supporting cast was great. How does that happen? But Romero is ever the great story-teller. A well described internet generation take on a Zombie flick.

R-rated Marvel comic movie? Sweet! No. No, it wasn't. It was pretty close to unwatchable. I understand that budget constraints forced the crew to relocate to Australia, but the chosen cast was horrid. They were supposed to be speaking with a deep Southern accent, but I actually paused the movie and opened IMDB to investigate when they kept drifting from Southern to none to Australian accents in a single sentence. Impossible to concentrate on the story line, which was probably for the best, at that point.

Epic finale', but there was a very slow build-up to the action. Overall it was just a fun gore-fest with very memorable jokes and moments. I really enjoyed it.

Being a huge Gojira fan, I'm disappointed. Really, it should have been named Jurassic Park: Manhattan. The movie could have held it's own since it had some pretty cool CGI scenes, but defacing such a popular franchise doomed it to fail.

For 1981, I'm sure it was considered a decent slasher film. But it's one that I had never gotten around to watching back in the 80's. I think I may have liked it better when I was young. The terrible acting might have seemed normal, comparing it to my 8th grade drama class. And the soundtrack is possibly the worst I've heard for a horror movie. Overall, it was almost a My Bloody Waste-of-Time.

So outrageously slow and mostly just talking about how the characters got to where they were, and even that was hard to follow. I was expecting at least a decent zombie flick. There was a nice little love triangle tossed in to confuse you. This is probably what it would be like if Lifetime featured a zombie movie.

Made me want to start a "Top 5 Songs" list for everything! And welcome to comedic stardom, Jack Black. I know you were in those other movies before, but we're trying to forget Waterworld, Bio-Dome, Neverending Story III, etc.

Women will enjoy the man/woman love story. Men will enjoy the man/game love story. From the soundtrack to the cast, this is one movie that can't be missed.

A desolate area. One of the best locations for a horror film, and what better than the outback? Though somewhat predictable at times, I really enjoyed an Australian take on the classic slasher genre.

Very disturbing in the fact that home invasions are really happening around us. The movie taps into a fear brought on by simply watching the news and not by reading mythology. If you're looking for some supernatural slasher film, find another flick. The cast was outstanding.

When the SciFi network made the terrible decision to cancel their most popular show, Farscape, it left many fans with unanswered questions. Thankfully, The Peacekeeper Wars was released as a full-length feature series wrap up of one the most popular sci-fi shows in history. As with the series episodes, it was very well directed with an outstanding cast. I was sad to see it end, but overall it was a great film.

Going into any movie, I try not to sit and compare a remake with the original. Sequels, yes. I really liked Rob's vision of Michael Myers's dark past. Let's face it, too many 80's style horror sequels exist. This was a fresh take from new eyes in a new era, and I enjoyed it.
