It's a shame that this film will always be remembered as the one where Brendon Lee got accidentally shot dead, because I think this should be remembered for it's visual mastery by Alex Proyas.

It's a joke man.... simply a BIG joke that this film is not in any of the lists.......... THIS IS A GEM OF A FILM..... PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST ROMANTIC FILMS EVER MADE......
Billy Wilder made many certified classics.... Double Indemnity, Sunset Blvd., Lost Weekend, Some Like It Hot and many many more.......... But this, critical and commercial bomb at initial release, COULD PROBABLY BE HIS BEST !

The reason I decided to watched this, is simple..... The first on screen collaboration between Al Pacino and Anthony Hopkins.The reasons they decided to act in this, are probably simple as well..... They either had guns pointed at their heads or they were blackmailed.
