Typical 60’s cheesy film. Blah.

Curtis is quite adept at playing tortured souls and does another fine job here. The inferred gay subtext seems to be another hallmark of Curtis’ films. I’m not so sure it aligns with the facts in regard to Ira Hayes but there it is.

Everyone is always trying to find out what made Fred Rogers tick. Isn’t it enough to know that whatever demons he might have had - like we all have - he managed to keep in control of them and helped to bring up a generation of children who learned to do the same? Personally, even as a child I never cared for Mr. Rogers and his neighborhood. It all seemed so hokey to me. But that has more to do with my cold, neglectful upbringing than it does with Mr. Rogers.

Much better than I expected. Haley Mills was marvelous and not at all irritating to watch like most child actresses can be. The honesty of the bond between the two leads is so refreshing.

Slightly disappointed with the ending but I suppose it actually is rather fitting.

A little heavy-handed, perhaps, but a very apt representation of some mothers who hold onto their children at all costs. They may operate out of fear, insecurity or just plain jealousy but in every case, they make life extremely difficult for their children

Slow to start but moves fast toward the end.

Winnie Lightner must have been some kind of broad in real life.

Nothing much to see here except the gorgeous Billy Dee Williams! I did not think Ross caught the essence of Billie Holiday’s soul although she was pretty good.

Great movie. Loved how clever and cunning The main character was. He’d never get away with that kind of fraud today but it’s fun to watch how easily he did it at the time.

Raymond Burr’s blank staring into the distance gets old after a while. But the plot and acting is pretty good otherwise.

What a powerful ending! Although this kind of thing hasn’t happened again in a long time (thank goodness!) the emotion that caused it all is still very much alive in our society. We just never learn to act with empathy and understanding instead of hatred and violence.

I am in no way a Woody Allen fan but I was held spellbound by this one. A perfect sweet memory of what life was like and how families faced the events - common-place and extraordinary - that life threw at them. The soundtrack is remarkably spot on.

Predictable and not much of a comedy. But still, a good movie to renew the sagging spirit. Love the Italian scenery and ways of life.

I’ve often wondered how people living during the Depression felt when they watched movies depicting the glamour and richness of life that they could never hope to have. Cecilia’s character gives me a little glimpse into what they might have felt.

Actually, I expected a little more. Angelina Jolie, although beautiful, was a little hard to believe in some scenes; not enough emotion and too many theatrics.

This movie would have been so much more enjoyable without the constant annoying interruptions from The Three Stooges and those two idiotic ladies with the Bugs Bunny voices.

I love Ida Lupino but that hairstyle of hers in here really has to go.

Good golly, this is bad. I love looking at Sean Connery but even his handsome self couldn’t save this one for me.

Surprisingly this is one film where June Allyson doesn’t get on my nerves. The ending left me wanting to know more about Dr. Dunning. spoiler
