Reminds me of Jodorowsky's "The Holy Mountain", it has amazing cinematography with interesting motifs that show people in different vulnerable situations. It's a bit schlocky by focusing on people with strange deformities, but it still tries to be really sentimental.
I really liked this movie. Some people say it's boring and I can't necessarily disagree, but I really connected with the character of Tomtom, and it has one of the most interesting renditions of "I am the Walrus".
Softcore porn in disguise, not that there's anything wrong with that. Even though it has low production values and bad acting, there's just enough to keep me watching.
The trick to this movie is don't expect much and you will get exactly what you expect. Does the film add up to much in the end? Probably not, just feel proud you can keep up with the craziness. At least it's a good ride
