This is far from a correct list of musicals. Animated films with music should have their own list. There are so many musicals that were left off this list that it is obscene. "The Lion King" is a musical? No way. It is an animated film with some memorable songs in it. "Singing In The Rain", "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers", "South Pacific" - now those are musicals!!

Wow!! One of the few lists that I am 100& filled on. Guess I am headed in the correct direction to have the best films ever in my collection.

Don't know why everyone is so high on this type of animation. It is so two-dimensional, and the stories are pretty predictable. That being said I was swept away by "Spirited Away" and glad that I have it in my collection.

Not a big fan of Woody Allen, the person or the actor, but I will have to admit that he knows how to write and direct a very good movie. While some of his movies leave me empty, there are some that I can watch over and over again and see something different. "Midnight in Paris" was my surprise hit from Woody Allen.

Have never understood why "Never Say Never Again" is not included in the James Bond Canon. It is a James Bond film, albeit not authorized by the Brocolli's, but nonetheless it is very good remake of "Thunderball", and I sometimes watch this more often than I do "Thunderball". Least favorite James Bond was George Lazenby. Am very pleased with Daniel Craig signing on for the next three James Bond films.

Another director who I think is very underrated. I can only think of a couple of his films that I truly haven't watched more than once. I am proud to have his films in my collection. My Top Five would include "Close Encounters", "Raiders of the Lost Ark", and "Lincoln".

With 10 grandkids between the ages of 13 and 5, it would be pretty dumb not to have all things Disney. So I am a total completist with the DAC, and Disney Live Adventure films.

Once I got into the 370's there was no way to read the movies as they were overlapped so crudely. I did the best I could from that point, but it just got worse. Will try again at a later date to see if that has been fixed.

In my DVD or Blu-ray collection I love having the movie that won the Academy Award as Best Movie for that particular year. I have also tried, unsuccessfully I might add, to expand my collection to include those nominated for that high honor each year. That is where my collection is incomplete. I still would date anyone who views my collection to not be able to pick out a movie that has won some award.

A lot of people don't understand Stanley Kubrick as a Director, but I have found after reading about his and what he likes and dislikes, I became a lot closer to what I liked about his movies. I can't put into words what it is, but if he name is associated with it, I have seen it, and/or own it.

When I was first introduced to the movies of Alfred Hitchcock it was the movie "The Trouble With Harry", which has since gone on to be among my top five favorite Hitch films ever. It was among the first videos I ever bought, and was upgraded to DVD when it became available. There are a lot of pretenders, but there is only one Hitchcock!

In my own opinion, Pixar and John Laseter do not make bad movies. While some may be weaker in storyline or subject matter, they are never a BAD movie.

My favorite Pixar film is "Wall-E" with the "Cars" movies running a close second and third. I own all of these 14 titles, Blu-ray where available, and just to set everyone straight about me - I am a 73 year-old movie buff.
