Very likeable independent low-budget film. It shows how confusing the contemporary world has become for people like Ellie, who desperately tries to get recognized. Naomi Watts' great acting and the use of digital media gives it a documentary-like feel. I could totally relate.
Disappointing follow-up to Welcome to the Dollhouse. Obviously, Happiness is meant to be provocative. Actually, it lacks substance. The same subject is better handled in American Beauty, a more mainstream and also flawed but far superior movie.
