Comes from its loyal manga follower for 20 years. This 8-episode & first season series gave some very serious tone, quite different from the hilarious and fun in the anime. Also they removed some important characters and events, making its pace felt too hasty but losing some nostalgic and essential aspects. Only 60 % accurate in character portrayal and storyline compared to the manga, they even eliminated the scene where Luffy should have punched the sea monster who had attacked him in his childhood. The important canon story about Don Krieg and Logue Town were also absent. Hacchi or Hacchan, the fishman who will play quite important part in the future, are non exist in the Arlong Park here. They even add a ridiculous kissing scene between Usopp and Kaya. If you want some romance, do not look for it in One Piece. Or maybe they just want to serve some desperate "shippers". Overall, this only good to watch once in your lifetime.
It is like Moana but with South East Asia (esp. Thailand) cultural background. But Moana is better in terms of music, writing, voice-over, and character development. But visually, both are beautiful.
I dont understand the ending. Why the FBI agents felt they need to tell the mafia gang (including Lefty) about Donnie as an undercover agent? What was the point of them doing that?
Wonderful cinematography, excellent improvisation on how song lyrics could blend with storyline and dialogue. Probably for people that never know any Beatles' song, it is best to learn the songs first. Cause this is about how songs live but not the musician, in an alternate universe.
Felt like an excellent modern (or digital age) surrealism version of Sunset Boulevard. Sharpened by one damn fine and super realist performance of Keaton indeed. Love the witty camera work&tricks (including some glimpse of the drummer) + magnificent jazzy-orchestral scoring make Birdman unexpectedly superb. I like how the storyline is unpredictable, toying with audience's expectation.
