This, as a debut does, at times come across as an exercise; Its fast paced and to a point. While it may leave a little something to be desired, it still hits all the right notes.

One can only hope that Saoirse Ronan’s Oscar clip is of her upset while having just lost her virginity while on top.

A modern day 80s cult classic! Heavily influenced by Reanimator and Frankenhooker and probably a few others, but Patchwork is a Frankenstein in and of its self. And tho this movie might get lost within itself a few times all in all it’s pretty good fun!

I will never see Fred Weasley the same way again.

I, Tonya is hands-down one of the year’s most entertaining movies. Craig Gillespie damn near hits it out of the park, with the biggest fault stemming from a temperamental start to its third act. It’s highly creative, funny, enlightening, well paced with the exception of the previously mentioned speed-bump, and complimented nicely by powerhouse performances by Margot Robbie and Allison Janney.

Expect noms for best actress, supporting actress, director, editing , and maybe even best picture.

In conclusion: go see I, Tonya immediately.

Battle of The Sexs misses on a lot of its marks. And that's probably because it's three movies in one. On one side you have BJK vs. The Woman's Tennis association (or whatever); you have Bobby Riggs a hustler with an Ace up his sleeve; and then you have BJK coming to grips with her sexuality and the implications that come with that in 1972.

The pacing was fine, but the multiple stories competing against each other really hindered the overall emotional tone of this movie. As it always felt like one or another of the storylines was undercutting whichever was in play at the moment. It even seemed uncertain of which direction it wanted to go itself a good portion of the time. As the titled "Battle of The Sexs" doesn't even come underway till about halfway through the film. The acting was strong to say the least, with Sarah Silverman delivering potentially one her best roles. Emma stone probs grabs a nom for the last scene alone.

But even so, all you have left with at the end is a muddied story with good acting. It should be seen, but temper expectations

WOW! An extremely self-assured debut. I dont think there was really any part of this movie - be it the acting or the writing, and certainly not the cinematography - that was lacking in any major way. Beautiful story. Hayley Lu continues to prove that she's one of the best on-the-rise actresses.

At this very moment Elisha Christian could probably win best cinematography outright for Columbus.

Beautifully shot, well crafted and acted, but an otherwise vacuous film.

Subdued yet tense throughout. Sure, it might be a little long, but it is fantastically executed. Great visuals! Dane Dehaan is creepy in and of himself.

Framed as a comedy and drama, yet i think this works best as a pseudo-horror of sorts. And not that this isn't funny, because it most definitely is. It's just that it's incredibly unnerving and mildly horrifying. Everybody was fantastic and the direction was on-point. I'm honestly surprised by how good this was. Highly recommend

A simple story wrapped in gorgeous paper. Cara gives us her best performance to date. And while I might be in the minority here, I think Dane DeHaan did a rather good job fitting into his role. Sometimes a 'larger than life presence' isn't necessary. This movie isn't the mess critics seem to be painting it as.

Efron and Kendrick stand out while everything else is pretty mehh. And I have no idea which direction Aubrey Plaza was trying to go in with her accent; truely confusing. The outtakes at the end are the overall high point.
